Will you join me for some writing time?
Creative work makes us feel better. Getting our feelings out on paper can too.
Allowing ourselves time to write, a quiet oasis where we can just 'be' with our thoughts, can seem almost impossible in lives that are whirlwinds of anxious emotions, worries, and concerns and that's why I hope you can mark the date in your calendar - Saturday 6 August - and set aside a couple of hours to write with me.
COVID and other local and world events have really done a number on our mental health.
Much has been written about the value of writing as a way of improving how we feel. When we're down and disempowered, writing can help us make sense of life and take away some of the darkness that weighs us down.
Writing about the difficult can also highlight the good and the positive.
Join me for a Winter Write-In on Zoom.

The first three people to register will receive a 10 minute break-out session with me to discuss an issue you may be having with your writing.
So here's what we'll do:
Purchase your Write-In session on my website shop for just $35 or contact me if you would rather pay by internet banking, and I'll be in touch to organise a time that suits you.
Please note:
All sessions are conducted via the online platform Zoom. The link will be emailed to you after payment is received. Please sign in to the meeting at least five minutes prior to the 1pm start time as we will be begin on time.
The first three people to register and pay will receive the 10 minute break out session and you'll be notified if you're one of the three. I will ask you to let me know what you would like to talk about during your 10 minute session so I can prepare in advance.
There is never any pressure to read your work aloud. You are more than welcome to attend just to write and enjoy.

- Write to timed exercises. These vary from 3 minutes to 10 minutes in duration.
- Topics will be thought provoking, fun, challenging. Some will prompt you to dig deep and with others, we'll have some light hearted escapism!
- Share our writing. There is never any pressure to read to others if you do not feel comfortable doing so.
- Receive constructive feedback from other participants.
