Writing your 'breast' story: a writing workshop for women diagnosed with breast cancer
Saturday 9 November 2024, 11am to 330pm
Christchurch Cancer Society, 74 Langdons Rd, Papanui, Christchurch
Proudly supported by Breast Cancer Support Aotearoa NZ (BCS)
The workshop
Writing your story will benefit you.
Sharing your story will benefit others going through the same experience.
The telling of our stories can enrich and illuminate our lives, especially when we're dealing with a traumatic life event such as a cancer diagnosis.
Everyone experiences cancer differently – so what's your story?
Join author Jane Bissell (Welcome to the Amazon Club) for this workshop where we’ll explore creative and practical ways to get your best ‘breast’ story onto the page.
This workshop is limited to fifteen participants so book early to secure your place.
Note: With guidance from Jane, participants will have the opportunity to publish their stories on the BCS website if they choose, however this is entirely up to the writer and is not the purpose of this workshop.
What to bring:
- your writing tools (pen and paper, laptop),
- a drink and your lunch (tea and coffee provided).
